Shopping is fun

Einkaufen macht Spass

I've wanted to buy new crockery, or rather plates, for a long time. I had a mishmash of faience and pottery dating back a century or more. In order to make room for my hodgepodge in the museum, I had contacted a junk dealer who was leaving the mill with 5 tins full of household goods to sell to "brocantes"!
So last Thursday was the perfect day to stock up on new plates in all sizes. Not for eight people, of course, like the "Château" service from Langenthal Manufaktur 40 years ago, but just two of each.

So I strolled through the center and did my two-week shopping, making sure that I had a horizontal space for the tableware on my errands.
I had that and stacked plate on plate and bowl on bowl until I couldn't take any more.

At the payment station, the 2-fold receipt and the parking lot opening receipt were scanned. I only noticed on the checkout strip, although it was also shown on the scanner, that the dishes were 50% off. So I saved SFr. 101 through the parking lot opening and the promotion.

In addition, the nice lady gave me a whole series of Minimania and 1/3 of a pack of paper towels, which normally wait to be used in a dispenser in the toilet ;-) With the help of the staff, these were placed between the plates, bowls etc. and at home they are now waiting for me or the cats to make a mess on the floor ;-)

How would it be if there was also fine paper to wrap dishes in at the self-scan/subito, as well as at the cashier when I bought espresso cups? It doesn't have to be, but it would be less awkward to wrap.

This makes shopping fun! :-)
