A question about Migros canned tomatoes: In recent weeks there have been reports in the British media that Italian canned tomatoes are sometimes harvested under slave-like working conditions - does Migros have any information on how your suppliers operate?
I usually buy the 'organic chopped peeled tomatoes', but I think this issue should be investigated for all similar products.

Thank you for your question. Our producers all work according to the GlobalGAP guidelines and are obliged to employ workers under decent conditions. We check our suppliers regularly and have not been able to identify any violations so far.

Thank you very much! Two large Italian food manufacturers were involved in the scandal: Mutti and Conserve Italia. Perhaps it would be good if Migros were to follow up anyway, if only to show that such machinations are not accepted by consumers. We have been working with Longobardi for over 50 years. We have a very long partnership with them and know their suppliers, i.e. the farmers. Most of it is harvested by machine one way or another. That's why hardly any harvest workers are needed.
