What happened to the dried pears that used to be in the refrigerated section of the vegetable department?
You were the only store far and wide that carried whole, soft-steamed dried pears. Now I can't find them anywhere. Why is that? There is no alternative...

Thank you for your message. Off the top of my head, I could imagine that these dried pears are a seasonal product that is available during the fall/winter months. However, I'm not entirely sure and would be happy to ask for you.

I currently always shop in the city of Zurich and have found the pears in the Limmatplatz, Neumarkt and RailCity HB stores. But I first bought them in Bern several years ago.
They were always to be found in the refrigerated section next to ready-made salad, hummus and sauerkraut. Pack of 500g and cost about 7.60. Could be that the product is seasonal, I didn't pay attention to that. The last time I bought it was 2 weeks ago. Now the space on the shelf has been filled with another product.

My suspicions have been confirmed: The dried pears are a seasonal product that is only available in the fall/winter months.
I hope you can find a suitable alternative product for the summer months until the dried pears take their place on the shelf again. :-)
