Sali schwiizer-team, Discover was discontinued at the end of August 2019. The function has been overhauled or will be replaced by new functions in the Migros app in the coming weeks and months. Best regards Silvia

Hello schwiizer-team I would like to take the liberty of joining in here. As the "inventor" of Discover, I also think it's a shame that we had to discontinue the function. But it was the right decision. The maintenance (product data maintenance) and usage were out of proportion. The Migros app team is currently revising the product detail pages in particular. For example, the ratings will be easier to see and it will be possible to rate products directly in the app. Just like with Discover. Information on nutritional values etc. - if available for the product - can already be found in the app. It is quite conceivable that Migusto recipes will also find their way into the app. I can't give you an exact timing. Some work is more advanced, others are in the concept phase. What you will no longer find in the future is the recognition of products based solely on their packaging, as Discover was able to do for around 10,000 products. The reasons for this are data maintenance and a slightly too high error rate during recognition. And with products in round packaging, we simply reached a limit that we could hardly extend. The Migros app will continue to rely on barcode scanning to counteract the above-mentioned weaknesses of image recognition. So much for Discover from me. Best regards Philipp
