The annoying thing with the Mohrenkopf - Why not just change the spelling?

Die leidige Sache mit dem Mohrenkopf - Warum nicht einfach die Rechtschreibung ändern ?

There are plenty of Helvetisms (= "Swiss words"). Most people who now say " We don't even think of the term "Mohrenkopf" (Moor's head), which by the way is a very outdated German term for people with dark skin. Hence my suggestion: why not just use "Morenkopf" ... i.e. leave out the "h"... it sounds the same to the ears, but there is no longer any connection to the original term... and let's be honest, all those who see no connection to people with dark skin - and I maintain that this is the vast majority - would not be bothered by this change. Let's remember the last spelling reform about 2 decades ago: many nouns were also changed and appeared in a new dress.... Examples: Gemse became Gänse Greuel became Gräuel Känguruh became Kängururu Stengel became Stängel Stop became Stopp .... so why can't you turn a Mohrenkopf into a Morenkopf or even Moorenkopf in allusion to the marshland ... The main thing is that the pronunciation as a term remains the same. There are also German terms that hurt on a "Swiss tongue", even sound like "Grosser Kanton" (or should we now also write "Grosser Kanton" with a sharp S?) This also includes the term "Schaumküsse" or the adjective "lecker" - it literally turns my stomach... As a Swiss person, you can't eat a delicious Schaumkuss ;-)
