Hello

I bought the "Déboucheur de canalisations" (6756.304) at the Do-It yesterday in the hope of unblocking my toilet bowl. The label doesn't mention toilet bowls, only sinks, washbasins, bathtubs and bides. But since in German the list is preceded by an "e.g.", I thought it would work for toilets too.

The instructions aren't very well done, but hey, let's give it a try.

Result:

• grey-black marks on the bottom of the bowl, caused by the metal spiral rubbing against the enamel.
• at the moment when the spiral is blocked, theoretically because it has reached the stopper, and you turn it as indicated, something happens in the toilet trap that you don't see until later: the spiral becomes jammed and bends irreversibly.
• The clog is still there.

The end result: a drain opener ruined because of the bent spiral, indelible marks in the bowl and a toilet that's still clogged...

I think that this tool should be avoided at all costs for unblocking toilets, and that this should be clearly stated!
