Even if that wasn't always the case, I think the "thumbs up/thumbs down" function is a good thing - and a welcome alternative to the omnipresent FB function :)...
Especially after several hours of writing, it offers a possibility of minimal participation, which would be great to be able to use ALSO HERE in the forum...
THE SAME EVERYWHERE applicable should [please] also be the "DELETE possibility" for own comments/ evaluations and suggestions-:(...

what else do you want to delete?
In the forum -
- you can delete your own posts.
- the first entry of a thread can be edited, saved or deleted.
In the products -
- you can delete your own posts and/or replies.
- you can delete your own tags.
- Logged in stars can be reassigned for the rating.
The user profile can be edited, deleted.
I have already described all deletion processes in detail on this platform. Perhaps a coordinator should take a few minutes to immortalize this and other FAQs on the blog!
In the new version of Migipedia, if it ever comes, a thumbs down is no longer planned.
I think a thumbs up is OK, but as already mentioned elsewhere, not for your own contributions.

@Istanbul: apparently I have once again missed something (??), because I haven't come across any "thumbs up/down" functions in the FORUM so far....
Your further explanations (thank you!) prompt the URGENT REQUEST to "coordinators"(?) to either create a FAQ NOW, which could be viewed in a condensed and understandable way - FB has that too-:( - AND/ OR to compile the descriptions you have made, which in my opinion are always catchy, in a kind of overview (all in the same place). it seems overdue-:(
I think it's a pity that the "thumb function" will be eliminated in a future new version, as I also like the thumbs UP for "FREMD contributions".

I myself would be extremely happy + grateful for FAQs regarding the various functions on Migipedia. In view of Istanbul's (and other friendly users/Migipedia team members') comments/hints, I've already had the impression several times that - regardless of all the joyful visits - (too) much is/was lost on me:(-:( - which then leads to unpleasant (follow-up) questions on all sides or other dives into or into the fat bowl...
