"Cumulus-Extra" is reminiscent of the original concept

«Cumulus-Extra» erinnert an das ursprüngliche Konzept

In and of itself, I don't think the "Cumulus-Extra" idea is bad, but I'm not interested in any of the offers that are visible today. There is certainly room for improvement. "Cumulus-Extra" is reminiscent of the original Cumulus concept, when the vouchers could not only be used like cash, but could also be used to reduce the price of a product depending on the offer. If I remember correctly, for example, three 5-franc Cumulus vouchers could be used to buy a bicycle for 250 francs less. With amounts like that, the campaign certainly made sense. What was less acceptable was that you could use a 5-franc Cumulus voucher to get a reduction of 10 francs on the purchase amount. However, you only saved 5 francs because you had to pay for this "saving" with a voucher, which was actually like 5 francs in cash (the same problem currently exists with "Cumulus-Extra" with the offers "Alpamare", "Bernaqua", "Säntispark", "Vitam", "Pathe"). Many people found this too complicated. Or they saw that they were being tricked into a discount that wasn't really a discount, and the scheme was quickly abolished - and now comes the new edition called "Cumulus-Extra".
