Is it allowed to have 1 Cumulus card for years and a new Cumulus card for the credit card? So having 2 cards in total?

I don't think this is an unauthorized problem...
The only problem now is that you have to deal with 2 different Cumulus accounts and the points don't count together....
Why don't you contact the Cumulus Infoline to see if you can merge the 2 accounts (if you want to)

Please excuse the somewhat indiscreet question, but it makes me curious:
If you've had a Cumulus card for years, why are you getting a new one for the credit card?
The points can be added together: Simply indicate in one of the two online Cumulus accounts that the points are to be donated to the other account.

You are allowed to open a second account in your name. However, as described by @easthouse, it is somewhat difficult to keep the accounts separate, as the coupons can only be used with the combined Cumulus number.

You probably did not enter your previous Cumulus number when applying for a credit card, which is why a new account was opened.
