Create an ungraded vegetable department

Créer un rayon légumes non calibrés

Hello, following the covid-19 crisis and the return to local suppliers, I'm thinking why Migros couldn't make a fruit and vegetable section that isn't graded so that younger people realize that not all fruit and vegetables are exactly the same size, but also to optimize the use of local production and give everyone access to fruit and vegetables, even those on a smaller budget. Lately, many of us have had to change our habits ... our incomes are no longer the same ... so try to keep a y Migros for everyone! Otherwise, many of us will go to the hard discounters, and I think that's a shame. What do you think?

Hello BlakeLouis, thank you for your suggestion to offer non-standardized fruit and vegetables. We are happy to discuss your request with our specialist department. We already offer this type of product in certain assortments: for example, in the past we have sold hail-damaged apricots as Class II apricots. For apples and pears, too, the assortment is divided into categories I and II. In the event of harvest problems, we are prepared to temporarily modify our specifications in favor of the products. You will already find non-standard products in our assortment in the following commodity groups offered under the M-Budget label: - Apples - Carrots - Onions - Potatoes However, experience also shows that our customers generally prefer flawless products in the sizes with which they are familiar. I have nevertheless noted your wish. Our area managers are keeping a close eye on this matter, and will make further adjustments if necessary. Best regards, Tabea
