well, it used to come in a jar identical to the gourmet mix grill mild, for example, which is hard to beat, no matter what kind of meat you sprinkle it on.
but the couscous gourmet seasoning hasn't been around for a loooong time. another missed opportunity, as the product simply appeared, most people probably didn't know what to do with it (how many consumers cook couscous more often than not...?!??), the name was poorly chosen, no ideas were provided, and then the item quietly disappeared from the shelves again - unfortunately....
because there was no oriental mixture that was so harmonious and complete and therefore allowed for really good dishes with an oriental touch - not just couscous!!!
but you should have communicated the possibilities - acted - not reacted by removing the spurned jar from the range.
prepare a risotto with this spice instead of saffron/porcini mushrooms, throw in a handful each of sultanas/wine berries, sunflower and pumpkin seeds and a piece of butter at the end and you practically have a guarantee that you will buy this mixture again. couscous, on the other hand, most people won't want to cook....
so if you were planning to bring it back to life, this time you'd have to tell potential buyers what the spice is good for and that it's worth trying - in a simple but convincing way.
i don't really believe in it - if it should happen anyway - THANK YOU !
