Why not bring a Chämisalami to the stores?
In other words, a strong, chimney-smoked salami, just like it used to be!
used to be!
Preferably in one piece and sliced in smaller packs.

That's right, there was a Chaemi salami from Delicarna in Migros with the EAN: 7610200304193 and a weight of 270 g. The sausage with a yellow-brown and red band, with dark brown or black lettering, was sold in yellow-brownish transparent, roughly perforated packaging.
In the 1980s, there was also the Bilta - Echter Glarner - Chämi Salami. This was present on the jerseys of Urs Freuler and Hans Känel!

Hello Imperator
Thank you very much for your message. I have already forwarded your message from the other thread to our product managers, but I would be happy to ask you again what has become of this particular salami.
@Istanbul: Thank you once again for your details.
Have a nice weekend.
Best regards
Tanja, Migipedia team
That's right, I also know the real Glarner Chämisalami.
It was available in butchers' shops and had a blue and red band with a chimney sweep
chimney sweep looking out of a rabbit on it.
It was also very good!
Thanks to @Frederica for his additional information!
Hello Imperator and Istanbul
Our research has taken a while, thank you for your patience!
The original Glarus Chämisalami was produced by the Kunz company. Unfortunately, the company had to file for bankruptcy around 15 years ago. The trademark rights were then taken over by another company and the Chämisalami was produced once again, but then discontinued. We do not know who owns the trademark rights today.
The Chämi Salami mentioned by Istanbul is still available with the same recipe. However, it has been incorporated into the M-Classic family and is now called M-Classic Bauernsalami sliced.
The farmer's salami is available in all cooperatives in western Switzerland and in the larger branches of the Aare, Eastern Switzerland and Basel cooperatives. If you would like more detailed information on availability, please get in touch!
Best regards

The closure of production in 1995 meant that Glarus Chämi salami disappeared from the market. The Kern butcher's shop in Ennenda was subsequently able to take over the production of Glarus Chämi salami.
