Calcium in dairy products

Calcium dans les produits laitiers

I think it would be a good idea to note the amount of calcium in dairy products in the nutritional facts table on the packaging.

Hello @joulaiiie

Thank you for your patience. I asked the people in charge and they told me that although calcium content is not usually indicated in the nutritional values on the packaging, this does not mean that this precious mineral is not present. This is because, as a general rule, for all our products, we limit ourselves to mentioning the energy value (kcal and kJ), lipids and saturated fatty acids, carbohydrates and sugars, dietary fiber and salt, as required by law.

Kind regards

Kathrin

Migros goes further than the law requires, listing not only carbohydrates but also grams of sugar - congratulations, that's great for diabetics and not all stores do that!

That's a bit nonsensical, given that the nutritional values of fruit juices are not just limited to carbohydrates/lipids/proteins, but also include vitamin content, particularly vitamin C, which is present in virtually all fruit.
Vitamin C can be compared to the calcium in dairy products...
Too bad

Hello joulaiiie, thank you for your contribution. We have clarified the situation once again with our responsible department. We would like to avoid overloading the label with information, as the space available is limited, and concentrate on the mandatory and particularly important claims. We trust you will understand. However, we will examine the possibility of adapting the label in the event of a future reorganization of the product range. Best regards, Luisa
