Why were the Cafe Royal coffee capsules for Dolce Gusto machines simply removed from the range?

Hi faeb We did indeed remove the Dolce Gusto compatible capsules from our range, as we noticed that they were becoming less and less popular. We therefore decided to discontinue these capsules, which were not very popular. Best regards, Angela

this is a disaster! last week i stood in front of the cafe shelf looking for the Dolce Gusto compatible capsules from Cafe Royale. to no avail! the migros employee phoned to ask and assured me that they had been ordered and would be delivered in two days. unfortunately, this turned out to be a mistake. there may be the same or similar varieties from nescafe, but they just don't taste the same. but the worst thing is that there is NO alternative to the "Milk Only" variety from nescafe! me and the people around me have the twin machine and mainly use the milk capsules combined with delizio capsules. now that the milk capsules have been canceled, i can dispose of the twin machine! if i had known this, i would have stocked up on a large supply. or can migros offer me ALTERNATIVES to the MILK ONLY capsules?

Hello EMkaEL, thank you very much for your message. I understand your disappointment very well. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer you any alternatives and there are no plans to reintroduce them. Nevertheless, I have informed the relevant department about your message. In principle, you can find the Dolce Gusto capsules directly at Café Royal: https://www.cafe-royal.com/de-ch/p/kapseln-dolce-gusto. Kind regards, Richi

Hi Richi, thanks for your reply and for forwarding my message. i also often ordered from the cafe royale online store... until the milk capsules (and also tea chai latte) were discontinued there. for all fellow sufferers who may also find their way here, i have found a substitute product: https://www.meinekaffeekapsel.ch/product-page/dolce-gusto-kompatible-kapsel-von-caf%C3%A9-ren%C3%A9-milk-only these are more expensive, especially with delivery, and i don't (yet) know whether they taste good, but still. greetings /edit i have found another, cheaper alternative: https://www.kaffekapslen.ch/milch-cafe-rene-dolce-gusto.html

Oh boy! I've only just run out of Milk capsules and have now discovered that they've been discontinued for some time. I used them to make latte macchiato (with other coffee capsules). Unfortunately, the alternative (boiling the milk yourself) doesn't work as smoothly (i.e. in terms of washing up 😉)
