Why is the butter (plastic/cardboard tray) in the 500g tray more expensive than in the 250g tray?

More expensive ? I can't imagine that with the same product, the same brand, the same supplier, the same day of sale ... the 500g packaging unit would be dispensed with - you simply buy 2 * 250g
Hi jbarnett77, thank you for your question. The price difference is because we sell far fewer 500 gram trays than 250 gram trays, and therefore the packaging is more expensive to buy. Best regards, Luisa

With the best will in the world, I can't see the differences in the butter in question: 2.00 Floralp butter in a bowl 100g 3.85 Floralp butter in a bowl 200g or 1.50 Valflora butter 100g 2.75 Valflora butter 200g
For both examples: same brand, same type of packaging ... The search in Migipedia does not bring up any other examples and the reduction of 15 Rp or 25 Rp is realistic and in the right direction

Did @jbarnett77or@M-Infoline mention "Floralp" or "Valflora"?
It's about "Die Butter" (cooking butter) where the 250g bowl costs Sfr. 3.55 and the 500g bowl Sfr.7.40/7.50? ?
Best regards

@Frederica That has to do with the fact that I didn't find the 500g unit either on Migipedia or in my Migros... that 500g must be cooking butter was already clear to me with today's family constellations...? Nüüt för uuguat
