I like to buy this mozzarella, but I always have to put the packet in the sink, as it's not always clear to me in advance whether I'll use up the whole contents. If I have leftovers, I always keep the cheese in the liquid in the pack. Many people say that the liquid is nothing more than water, but I can taste the difference. Item, my suggestion is to seal the pack with a seam in the middle. Would this extra step actually make the end product more expensive?

I'm not Karin - but I'll give you an answer too.
The liquid is a mixture of whey and water.
As M-Budget offers a good quality product, the only thing that can be saved, apart from logistics, is the packaging.
Your suggestion involves at least one more operation, so the machine would have to be reprogrammed and the processing time would be extended by the additional weld seam.
So there are additional costs.
But I suspect that a new packaging machine would have to be purchased, which would also increase the costs.

I always keep leftover mozzarella with the whey in a Tupperware container in the fridge. It keeps wonderfully well there.
The mozzarella is produced by the Zott dairy (afaik)...., this huge dairy can surely figure out a more practical packaging
