Hello everyone. Have you had the same experience? I'm standing in front of the rack with the various bread rolls. I use the tongs to pick out what I want and put it in the bag. A Migros employee (in my case, the Gundelitor branch in Basel) comes along and picks two sweet rolls out of the rack with his bare fingers. He puts back a third one that doesn't suit him. Definitely not on. No trace of hygiene. Basically, these racks of cookies are a disaster. Practically no one uses the tongs. Sometimes the chain is too long and the tongs can fall to the floor because there is no proper way to attach them to the rack. Or the tongs are not attached at all and fall onto the floor. The bags for packing the rolls are at the bottom of the rack. If you pull one out, a few more slide with it and fall to the floor, from where they are put back into the rack. Apart from that, old people often find it difficult to bend down that far. I don't even want to talk about the splash guard, which has limited effectiveness at best. If the splash guard on the top shelf is at eye level, it is simply useless. As the holder of a publican's license, I presume to know something about food hygiene. In my opinion, there is definitely room for improvement in the Migros bread roll racks, at least as far as hygiene is concerned.
