Bouquet garni

Bouquet garni

Dear product developers

French cuisine is considered by many to be one of the best, but not exactly one of the simplest. Recently in Paris, however, I discovered something that the French use to make life (or at least cooking) a whole lot easier. Thyme, coriander, marjoram, parsley and bay leaf are packed in small cloth bags ready to use as a bouquet garni. All you have to do is put it in the pot and fish it out again at the end.
In my opinion, this would be a great addition to the herb shelf in Migros - much more practical than tediously tying herbs together, and much more stylish than a finely chopped mixture from the shaker.

Best regards
Noberid

That's a good thought, but I'm a bit lazy and don't want to have to buy and fill the herbs myself :)

Sorry, but in my eyes, and also in the eyes of my fiancée, this is an unnecessary product!
an unnecessary product!
Fresh herbs: tie the whole sprigs together with kitchen string, done!
Dried herbs, or even fresh ones: in a tea infuser, done!
(or in empty tea bags as already suggested)
It's really no effort at all!
Other fresh herbs can easily be frozen.

I am also a firm believer in using fresh herbs for cooking whenever possible. Unfortunately, I'm also one of those people who don't have space for all the little plants and don't want to start an inventory of herbs for the freezer.
However, I think Bodenseeknusperli's idea for a kind of tea bag is great - instead of the hassle of buying and filling them yourself, you should just be able to buy them ready-made. That would save a lot of time and effort, and you could even create different mixtures for beef, chicken and fish!
