More multi-storey Migros branches again, please
Bitte wieder mehr mehrstöckige Migros-Filialen

It's a terrible development: stores that used to be multi-storey are being converted into single-storey stores. What used to be a supermarket upstairs and almost a department store downstairs is now just a slightly better Aldi on one floor (Zurich, Wiediker Märt). In Rapperswil SG (Sonnenhof), the conversion has resulted in a nice store, but the menswear department in particular is a joke compared to earlier times.
In January, the Migros City in Zurich's most central location, on Löwenstrasse, which was previously spread over several floors, will be demolished and also reduced to a single floor area during an extensive renovation period. Here, of all places, the department store atmosphere will be dispensed with in future!
It may make business sense to force customers to walk through all the departments during their shopping trip. Nevertheless, this is not really pleasant for customers because they don't always want to buy non-food items when they go to Migros. Or you don't want to buy food, but perhaps an item of clothing, and then you still have to pass bread, vegetables, coffee and ice cream.
Please reconsider the new strategy of offering everything on one floor and create multi-storey Migros branches with a department store character again!
I wonder how long it will be before Migros Glatt also offers everything on a single floor...!
