When I was little (three days ago), we always had a tree trunk made of ice cream around Christmas (I think from Lusso or Lagnese). It was chocolate on the outside, pear on the inside and sugar mushrooms on top. It was called Bûche de noël.
That would be my absolute Christmas present if I could buy it in Migros.

Thanks for your message. I was a bit confused by the term "tree trunk" at first, but now that I think about it, it sounds kind of delicious!
I'll be happy to pass on your suggestion. You're early, so maybe there's actually a chance that this product will be available again in the Migros chiller cabinets at Christmas.

If I may intervene.
There were 2 tree trunks in the Migros range in Lucerne around Christmas time. On the freezer shelf, of course.
They were special editions for Christmas. No idea whether with or without pears.
(I don't like the taste)

Small addendum: Could it be that you didn't have the pear and chocolate tree trunk from Migros? I've just had another discussion with the product manager and according to him we didn't have any other brands in the dessert range. So if the log was really from Lagnese or Lusso, maybe it wasn't from us?

You could be right. I think it was available at the local cheese dairy at the time. I just thought it would do well in the Migros range. At that time there was no Migros in Lützelflüh/Hasle.
