I've just discovered that the 5 dl bottles of organic pasta milk are apparently no longer available. They had such a long shelf life. Instead, there are now ZüriBieter 5 dl bottles with a short expiry date on the shelf! And my family doesn't like these bottles: they say the milk takes on a plastic taste.
Why do you just throw them out? The longer shelf life was an absolute plus!

The experience that milk takes on a plastic taste is something you also have with non-organic milk. I think it's good that someone mentioned it. In addition, the plastic bottles, whether 5dl or 1l, take up more space on the shelf. If other milks were also repackaged (from plastic to carton) I would certainly try Heidi or another one.
I only realized on Friday that I had run out of milk. So I quickly went to the gas station and the Migrolino only had plastic bottles. Since I drink a lot of milk in the evening, I really have to say, "stupid that I'm forgetful, next time I'll go to the coop gas station at odd hours"
It's funny that the milk disappears from the shelves. It's even weirder that it's not followed by something clever. Please look at the plastic milk packaging problem.
I had the same problem when I tried a different milk in plastic and it disappeared after 3 days.
Hello everyone, we have replaced the organic pasta milk 5 dl with a regional organic milk. However, there is no difference in shelf life. If a product is bought more frequently, we regularly supply the store with fresh goods. These products then have a perceived longer best-before date. The opposite is true for goods that do not sell as quickly. In this case, the goods remain in the stores until the latest sales date. The time after purchase during which you can still store the product at home is correspondingly shorter.
I am sorry that you perceive a plastic taste in the milk. Our product controls do not detect any such taste. If you are not satisfied with a product, you can always discuss it with the receipt in the store and exchange it if necessary.

(Takes up much more space on the shelf than plastic) I wonder how the Migros staff will react to my question.

@Mystery1978Ifyou have Cumlus, the receipt will be recorded in the app. If necessary, you could do it that way.
But I certainly won't be returning any milk. If it tastes like plastic again, we'll just change the product or the store for the milk :-)
@M-InfolineWillkeep an eye on the date. It used to be the case that this regional milk had a much shorter shelf life than the milk that has now been taken off the shelves.
