Lidl Switzerland is increasing wages and will pay a minimum wage of CHF 4,100 in future. This is clearly higher than Migros and Coop. The two industry giants in Switzerland pay gross minimum wages of 3900 francs. The trade unions had criticized the two retailers for their wage policy for the current financial year. Denner employees receive a slightly higher minimum wage, namely at least 4025 francs per month. However, Aldi employees are much better off. The minimum wage at Switzerland's fifth-largest retailer after Migros, Coop, Denner and Manor is CHF 4275.
