Since I'm not so good with English, I don't really understand why Migros is introducing more and more products with English names. I can understand that international products are labeled like this, but the own brands, which are mainly intended for the Swiss market, could also be in the national language.

This trend is unstoppable and is being intensified by globalization and computerization. Product names and buzzwords, on the other hand, would have to be the same in all four national languages to be effective - which is impossible! The already naturalized and practiced English is therefore a contemporary solution."
I wrote before Christmas 2011 in the product ideas section.
Migros writes in the FAQ on the same topic:
"... In advertising, one is faced with the challenge that advertising messages must be short and concise and have a clear message. For this reason, the English language is often used.
Migros has therefore agreed to a compromise: product names, slogans etc. can/may be in English or "non-Swiss" if no other word (equally understandable for all parts of the country) can be found. "

About the short and concise advertising messages :
With " am " I think of the Latin " ante meridiem ", i.e. " in the morning ", which then together with the I or 1 results in " one o'clock in the morning ".
