Why are you importing bananas from Africa and not from the island of Madera, which grows its own bananas? Then at least we have imports from Europe.

Oh dear, "Cartmen" is getting a lot of flak here. I would like to put this into perspective a little and therefore believe that the question is just as justified as many (!) of the inquiries and complaints that you regularly read here and which largely belong to the "first world problems" category. I'll spare you the examples, the threads are full of them.

Hello @Cartmen! First of all, we don't currently source any bananas from Africa. On our shelves you will find WWF bananas and Max Havelaar bananas, which set very high standards in terms of sustainability. It is true that we do not currently offer any bananas from Europe, but we are constantly looking at new sources that are of interest to us. If the quality and availability are there, we definitely consider it. Of course, we have various requirements for all our suppliers. You can find out more here. Best regards, Miriam
