Why do bananas, which are naturally perfectly packaged, need plastic packaging? Why not make a further contribution to the environment and simply leave it out?

You are generalizing your banana bag question. I assume that it is about the "M-Budget bananas" and/or the "MINI Max Havelaar", as the rest are offered openly.
@M-Infoline answereda similar question for the former on ??:
"[...]M-Budget products are all about price. That is why we have opted for the process of packaging in bags. It is cheaper and saves costs. The process with the hooks, on the other hand, which is done manually, causes more costs. Baby bananas are packed in a thin bag because they are very delicate[...]"
