As I have often observed in Migros stores (but also in the Coop), I also had to observe today in Migros Seen that the sales assistants (have to?) stand with their shoes on the thin edge of the shelf when they fill the refrigerated shelf, this time it was the refrigerated shelf for cheese and grated cheese.
What bothers me is that the tips of the shoes then touch the packaging of the grated cheese or other dairy products etc..
I also wonder if it's not a bit dangerous? What if the sales clerk steps on it and falls?
I would like to see a general solution found at Migros at least, so that the sales assistants could be given a small elevation/ladder or stepladder to enable them to reach the upper shelves safely and hygienically when they need to restock or check them.
