Garlic baguette

Baguette Knoblauch

I have the impression that this product is no longer what it was just three months ago. Apart from the fact that the baking times of 9 minutes have never been right (20 minutes is more like it), I also feel that the garlic and the filling have been cut back considerably. And it's not just me who has this impression, but also the rest of the family. The consequence of this is that we will no longer buy these garlic rolls in future, but will make them ourselves. I think it's a shame and worrying that Migros is making good products worse or removing them from the range. It's neither good for the customer nor for the "cooperative"!

Hello Entenfuss, thank you for your report. I am sorry that the baguette gives cause for complaint. I would be happy to forward your feedback to our specialist department. Can you please give me the article number (or exact name) as well as the best-before date and the lot number next to it? Kind regards, Chloe

I never keep any plastic packaging. That's why I can't give an article number, the "exact" name or even the best-before date or anything like that. All these requested details also have nothing to do with the fact that I have the impression that the product has been changed. Side question: How many different baguettes with garlic are there in Migros?

Hello Entenfuss, it's a shame you no longer have the packaging to hand. But I can understand why you don't keep the packaging. With this information, we could have checked the production of the baguette. There are freshly baked garlic baguettes https://www.migros.ch/de/product/111961200000 and also frozen garlic baguettes: https://www.migros.ch/de/product/160106500000, hence my question about a more precise product description. Can you recognize the baguette you bought? Best regards, Chloe

But Migros has no influence here, as the product comes from Farmland

Did I expect any answer other than such phrase-mongering? No! I didn't. You're selling the product and it doesn't matter who the manufacturer is. You're selling it and as a salesperson it's probably not too much to ask to inform the customer about product changes. But not Migros, it hides behind the argument "I don't, he does!" like a foolish boy. Cheap, absolutely cheap. But as I said, I didn't expect anything else.

You know that Coacoa200 is not a Migros employee, so this is not an official response from Migros? So far, Migros has only asked for the exact product name - this is anything but "phrase-mongering".

Hello Entenfuss, our specialist department has discussed your question with the manufacturer. They have confirmed that no changes have been made to the recipe. I understand that it is disappointing to discover such changes to a highly valued product. If you buy the "Knobli bread" again in the foreseeable future, please let us know the production details so that we can check further details. With regard to the preparation instructions, we can tell you that this is only a recommendation as a guideline. However, the time difference you mentioned seems large to us, which is why we will check the information again. Kind regards, Chloe
