I love avocados. But I'm not exaggerating when I say that about every 10th one I buy is edible. Most of them are ok to touch on the outside, but then they are as hard as cardboard and completely tasteless. They also don't ripen at night. I now buy avocados in the Coop, as there is a better chance of buying an edible fruit.
What are other people's experiences with avocados from Migros?

you can have mine, they were already rotten when you bought them - if you put them next to the unripe ones they might ripen faster ;)
Unfortunately, I have to agree with you....
Whether organic or conventionally grown avocados. Catching a good avocado is a matter of luck. You can often tell as soon as you reach for the fruit that it is no longer good.
Many are hard and remain so...
Just last Thursday we bought two organic avocados, on Saturday we wanted to eat them. Completely rotten...avocados should last 1-2 days at home, shouldn't they?
We usually shop at Migros in Gäupark Egerkingen.
I suspect that possible errors do not lie in the stores, but at best in the import, interim storage and instructions to the stores on how to handle the avocados.

Thank you Loxiran for the tip, I am "glad" that we are not the only ones to have this experience with avocados. We'll be getting the diced avocados straight away.
You don't need to worry about Hungary. People here have the wrong image of this country. I trust the Hungarians more than the Spanish and Italians. We regularly go there on vacation and like the country and the people. Even Switzerland, which is oh so great, could take a leaf out of their book in many respects.
Whether it makes sense to send the Avos to Hungary and process them there is another matter. I suspect it could be done differently. Perhaps the product would cost CHF 0.20 more if it were diced here - which I would be happy to pay.
It's like the horses that are transported from D to I, slaughtered there and shipped back. At least that's how it used to be. Well, I don't eat meat anyway :-).

The same is true in Wil SG. There was also some action on Saturday. Lots of avocados, all overripe and brown. There wasn't a single one that still had a bit of "bite". On Sunday I wanted to use it and it was completely rotten inside.........

It seems that I'm not the only one who has often had the misfortune of getting rotten avocados.
Whether organic or normal avocados, the same everywhere.
It's no better in the Coop, I've had bad luck with every second one there too. The only real alternative is frozen avocados, which you can now find in Migros.
