From MM size upwards, there are often fresh food counters, but these are probably disappearing.
I also know counters with cheese, fresh meat and fish. But unpackaged charcuterie? I can still see in my mind's eye employees (almost always women) spearing slices of cold cuts and salami with a two-pronged fork, but some of them have probably long since retired.

Such decisions, especially in view of the nostalgia, are never easy for us either. Nevertheless, such decisions have to be made in every company based on economic aspects: A supply can only be maintained as long as demand is sufficiently high. In addition, the quality of pre-packed products is in no way inferior to products in the open counter. It is also important to weigh up what is more important: More packaging or food waste. Incidentally, the organic products are packaged in an environmentally friendly way. We are constantly looking into alternative packaging options. Best regards, Sina
