Answering machine

Good day
I have a Gigaset cordless phone. Since the switch to fiber optics, the answering machine no longer works in my home. It can't be the fault of the phone, because everything was ok at M-Electronics. Neither the fiber optic network operator (SAK), nor the M-Budget hotline, nor the Gigaset hotline can help me. Am I stuck with an unusable device, and if so, which devices would work?

The fiber optic conversion brings many changes (positive and partly negative) Swisscom writes on their website:

"You will now make calls via the Internet. You must connect your previous telephones to the Internet box and no longer to the telephone socket. The Internet box must be switched on to make calls. You can even connect all Swisscom HD phones to the Internet Box wirelessly, i.e. without a cable."

You wrote that only the answering machine doesn't work. But the normal phone calls are working? the customer service of the M-Budget fixed network should actually be able to solve this... They have known for some time that a changeover is coming, otherwise I can only recommend that you set up the whole thing again and reconnect it, I hope I was able to help you a little further. greetings JiterryCorgi8
