I personally don't know them, but what I do know are the aniseed stalks, maybe they taste similar?

yes, i know them - mmmmmmh - they were soooooo fine!!! they can't be compared with the aniseed sticks. they weren't white either but about as brown as petitbeurre and were sprinkled with coarse sugar. i'd like to have them on the shelf again...
