The opposite is the case: a glove can be an incentive to pick up several different pieces of fruit or vegetables and put them back again. This is not conducive to the quality of the products. I think touching fruit and vegetables is fine, as long as you disinfect your hands thoroughly before entering the store (the saying "choose with your eyes"... no, I'm not going to say anything about it, but I think it's just... even with children). Tasting from the packet is really not an option.

I think there will only be a few, whether with or without a C, the andatching was/is a recurring theme and to be honest it annoys me too, yes, I also looked at some nice fruit and put it back aaabut I take it in my hand with the necessary caution and don't press/squeeze it.

However, I know it from the market stall, in stores with a waiter and in grocery stores with samples provided with toothpicks inside. But in Corona times I find it impossible. How did she eat them, through the mask? So she moved the mask beforehand and then continued to touch everything possible. The only thing that helps is to speak to her directly. And if several people do this, the weight of the pack is no longer correct, which I find the most unfair. She might have realized that?
At Aldi there are signs like "please only select with your eyes" and as far as I've seen, people there stick to it. At Migros I see what you described every time I go shopping. Fruit is simply touched/crushed, tasted and thrown back again; the same with the rolls/sweets in self-service, although there are tongs available, nobody is interested, they simply reach in with their bare (dirty) hand, preferably with their jacket sleeve, and rummage around until they find the right roll etc. It's just cruel! It's just gruesome! I've asked the staff about it several times; unfortunately they don't really care...

I keep seeing people (whether older or younger) who, for example, when strawberries/raspberries/blackberries etc. are offered in open cardboard packaging (Swiss fruit, the current ones from Spain are in sealed plastic packaging), shovel fruit from other cardboard packaging into "their" packaging (of course, they're expensive, so you want a bit more content)... Addressing them is a good idea, but I've honestly given up. I've noticed that these people are totally lacking in understanding and are never aware of their guilt or that they are now even made fun of/ridiculed, even if you politely point this out to them. You have to look for decency and respect with a magnifying glass these days...
Opening the packaging obliges you to buy and tasting is not possible....but when I buy grapes I touch them briefly to see if they are already too soft or still crunchy hard. I've already been told twice by customers that you can't do that, I said you have to wash the grapes anyway and I don't want to buy soft grapes, I'm looking for the harder ones but I only touch one per bunch and not all of them.
