I bought the Alnatura date syrup a few weeks/months ago when it was still relatively new. When I tried it for the first time, everything was great with the packaging, but the second time there was quite a lot of pressure in the bottle, so that about 5 tablespoons of the thick syrup came out, first relatively quickly and then slowly but steadily for about a minute. This was about three weeks ago.
Today I noticed that date syrup was oozing out from underneath storage jars in my cupboard. The date syrup is a little further back and that's why I didn't notice it at first. The lid was 100% tightly closed after the last time I tried to use it, it spilled quite a bit. The bottle is upside down and therefore on the lid, but the lid was as if it had been blown open and was slightly open, so the top of the bottle was slightly tilted and was no longer vertical, so syrup could continue to leak out. I am now missing about a third of the product, of which I have actually used two teaspoons. Unfortunately, I really can't explain how this can happen, am I doing something wrong? :D
This has never happened with the agave syrup in a similar bottle next to it, but it is also thicker...
