Someone recommended this documentary to me and said that they would never shop at Migros again after watching it (I thought they were exaggerating), but I just watched the documentary "How it all came to an end" and I am really shocked by what Migros has done and is still doing. I've long wondered why the product range differs between the various Migros regions. Now I understand why. These Migros princes, who simply do what they want and will never see eye to eye, have largely ruined Migros. Now they are trying everything they can to get back on track, but I think many people have already lost faith. The retailers Aldi and, above all, Lidl have caught up considerably in recent years. I see that where I live in Bremgarten AG. They always refused to open an Aldi/Lidl. Now, a store (which used to house SportX/Migros do it and Melectronic) has been partially taken over by Lidl, instead of finally renovating this shabby, old, much too small Migros. Lidl is always packed, and far fewer people go to Migros. What kind of marketing people actually work at Migros? Or has the prince of the Aare cooperative decided once again that everything should stay the same? Migros is digging its own grave. Let's see what they want to get rid of next. I'm already very excited.
