hello
it's about time that migros finally introduced alcohol. it can't be that i have to go to the denner in wynecener. or drive 5 km. to the nearest coop.
the petrol station store even sells spirits. where's the logic in that?
thank you

i don't think the question is very polite. i can get alcohol in the same building at the denner. wynecenter buchs. during the weekly shop.
in my opinion, it would be time to offer alcohol in migros too. i don't see why not
Perhaps the Duttweiler core values - the (former) DNA of Migros? Not all stores have to offer everything.

@rolfmaurer I agree with @rbde565 that not all stores must/can/should offer a full range of products. And then Migros' core values of not selling alcohol would possibly make its introduction more difficult, as consumer resistance would be expected. Question of image.
Personally, I would do it this way: if alcohol is stocked up, I would just go to another store that offers everything; or I would go to Denner or XYZ separately before/after shopping at Migros. If I want a product, it's worth the extra steps and extra minutes - otherwise I secretly don't need the product after all and save myself the money.
No, Migros should not add alcohol to its range.
It's already too much that it sells all the branded junk and more and more of its own products are disappearing.
I think it's good that Migros still doesn't sell alcohol and tobacco.
However, I have noticed several times that processed products with a sometimes quite high alcohol content are on offer.
At Migros Lucerne, for example, you can buy a Zuger Kirschtorte, which has the typical high alcohol content.
I've been wondering for a long time how this is compatible with the cooperative's principles. Can anyone here enlighten me on this?
Furthermore, it is now the case that the Orange Giant is allowed to sell spirits and tobacco products via its subsidiaries Denner & Globus. This is actually not entirely clean either.
I do drink alcohol myself from time to time. But I really appreciate the fact that I'm not constantly confronted with promotions for wine and beer at Migros, as unfortunately happens all the time elsewhere. Such promotions tend to bore me.

You are like many others: you are guilty of two misunderstandings.
Hello AlMiDeCoLi
Thank you very much for your information / answers.
On the first point, regarding alcohol in cakes, chocolate etc. This will probably be the case, as you write - I simply didn't know this before or had never asked before.
On the second point, with the sale of alcohol and tobacco at subsidiaries such as Globus or majority shareholdings such as Denner, it is a bit inconsistent to allow this through a back door. It remains to be seen whether this would have been okay in the spirit of the founder.
But ok, I can live with it. Personally, I simply never go to Denner because, unlike Migros, I've never really liked it. But everyone is allowed to have a different opinion to me.
