For the second time in a month, I was charged both the price of the single product and the price of the promotion for the double pack. So far, we haven't wanted to check the receipt every time, but we probably have to, because Migros (Teufen) is six kilometers away from our apartment in Speicher.

After I've often had things scanned incorrectly, I always check. It's totally annoying. As soon as you have something in large quantities, mistakes happen. It has to be quick, because there are fewer checkouts open and then longer queues... Because lots of people don't want to self-scan!

@Traberli But many others want self-scanning precisely because of these errors (and also because of other advantages). I'm one of them. If you have scanned too much - which can happen - at least it's your own fault.

Yes, only if it has a control and you have too little... what then? Theft report? As often as it happens to me at the cash registers... but almost only so that I pay too much... At Denner the chance is every 3rd time something wrong. And it was already worse had 50% chance depends on the seller. They are always the same.

@Traberli I've been checked many times, but thank God Migros has never had anything to complain about.
@sndiaye I think it's because the search for the correct EAN code takes place too close to the built-in desk scanner: if the normal code on the double pack is not taped, it's enough to just hold it near the scanner - it's captured and nobody notices. So it may have been done on purpose, but it doesn't have to be.
Hello sndiaye, thank you for your message. It's best to contact the store directly or use the contact form https://www.migros.ch/de/services/kundendienst/infoline.html to contact the relevant office. I recommend attaching a copy of your purchase receipt. Best regards, Luisa
