trouble with lamp and customer service

in november 2017 we were able to buy a floor lamp, model zoe at favorable conditions in the micasa online store. (thanks to a promotion + vouchers 60.- fr. below catalog price). the lamp is offered with a 5-year warranty and repair service in the catalog.

unfortunately, the lamp gave up the ghost after just one month.

1st surprise: bulb cannot be replaced. i.e. bulb broken - lamp ends up in the bin

2. surprise: lamp cannot be returned for repair. migros insists on a so-called bring-in guarantee (although I can't find this provision anywhere on the homepage); item

3. so we handed in the defective lamp at the nearest (15 kilometers) customer service and have now received a report that we will be refunded the sales price. obviously migros has this choice (repair, replacement or refund) according to the warranty conditions.

4. we have to drive another 15 km to get this money.

5. the light is still available to buy, but unfortunately we would now have to pay 60 fr more for it, the vouchers are lost.


6. offering lights from china that only work for a month and cannot be repaired: this has nothing to do with sustainability

7. migros has clearly opted for the least customer-friendly solution

8. complaint to m-service (from last friday) was not answered

9. complaint to m-infoline is unfortunately treated superficially and with zero understanding for the customer.

10. as a loyal migros customer of many years (family of 5 who leave a lot of money at migros month after month) i would have expected a more accommodating solution (replacement of the lamp or refund vouchers), we are disappointed with migros.
