old price 6.90 new price 8.90! Bravo Migros, that's it with the children's menu. You'd better leave the forced "gift" (a bit of cardboard with Migros advertising), it would be better for the environment...

Hi Chloe That was today in Migros Zurich-Oerlikon. best regards
It gets even better, typical children's ice cream such as Smarties and Hello Kitty are no longer included, only the cheap water ice cream.

Hello father2023, thank you for your feedback. We immediately discussed your experience with the responsible department. The price adjustment was based on market comparisons and the difficult situation in the energy and procurement market. The procurement of products for internal production (e.g. frying oil, wheat) has increased massively in price for the most part. The same applies to dairy products, cheese and other items. We can no longer bear these additional costs in the margin and are forced to pass these additional costs on to the sales price. The Lilibiggs Menu has always been exempt from price adjustments over the last 15 years. This is why the price adjustment now seems disproportionately high. However, we are happy to take your suggestions on board. Kind regards, Matteo

Unfortunately, I also have to say that 8.90 Fr. is a lot compared to the Coop or Manor restaurant. But what bothers me more than the price per se is that I don't want syrup, ice cream or toys - that may be ok if you eat in the restaurant 1-2 times a year, but we are there weekly and I just want to get food for my three-year-old - he only drinks water, doesn't get dessert every day and doesn't need a toy every time. I would love it if there was a cheaper option without the extras.

Hello Sw34, thank you for your reply. I was happy to ask the Zurich cooperative. They told me that the repeated price adjustments in the past year are due to the following reasons: 1. the price situation remains tense. In the energy sector in particular, it is still unclear how rising prices will affect the extraction and processing of raw materials. The global economy, inflation and inflation should not be underestimated either. There are signs of an inflationary trend. 2 While some product groups are experiencing falling prices, others are rising significantly. The summer heat has caused considerable damage, particularly to water-intensive crops such as fruit, vegetables and similar products. This is also reflected in the weekly prices. We must therefore continue to expect prices to trend upwards in 2024. 3. from 01.01.2024, VAT rates will rise from 2.5% to 2.6% and from 7.7% to 8.1%. In addition to the general cost increases, we would also like to use the price adjustments to offset the VAT surcharge. surcharge. We made the price adjustments beforehand to ensure that they are not directly linked to VAT, but rather to the general cost increases. 4. Not only the general costs, but also the personnel costs are rising this year. Kind regards, Chloe

As I said, I understand price adjustments! My point is that sweets, syrup and toys are not necessarily desirable .... and also not quite in keeping with the times...
