That is a completely nonsensical idea ... Nobody should be forced to donate ... something like that is so filthy that it belongs to the Nazi mindset.

I'm also not necessarily a fan of "I buy myself something and donate on the side to make me feel good" campaigns. I prefer to donate directly if a project or cause is not only morally important to me, but also makes sense in practice.
For example, the owner of the "Lubi" café in Burgdorf collected money for a new bridge in her former home village after the floods in the former Yugoslavia. I put a hundred francs into it.
But that's just my feelings.

A wholesaler does not have to encourage or even force anyone to donate! I once refused to buy a certain type of bread at Migros last year because it was linked to a donation to Pro Juventute.
If you think such an idea of compulsory donations through to the end, then at some point you could find yourself in a situation where some major distributor decides that bread can only be bought in its stores by people who wear a headscarf ... or make a donation to Pro Juventute.
If I want to donate something ... then I decide for myself how much and to whom. I don't buy bread at Migros and make a forced donation!
Please avoid "reprimanding" me in any way, for example with: .... "I strongly advise you to moderate your tone" ... I'm known for not letting people tell me what to say. Nor do I allow myself to be patronized. Especially when it comes to topics like this, where it's all about pretended "charity", you have to expect me to speak the truth very clearly. As the great-grandson of a man who helped Mr. G. Duttweiler to avoid the boycott during the Migros boycott, I will not allow myself to be censored here.

I will be making my traditional donation again this year and, like every year, it will go to the Kantha Bopha hospitals in Cambodia, a place where the money is urgently needed and where 100% of it really does arrive and is put to good use. I won't be forced to donate and I don't expect Migros to try. But at the moment it's convenient for companies to be able to use the wave of refugees for advertising. For good reasons, I guarantee that not a cent will go to Syrian "refugees", but this is certainly not the right platform to discuss such things.
