Product recalls - automated?!

I'm just wondering how Migros handles product recalls... Do they just send out a media release and that's it? Or do I receive an email if I've possibly bought an affected product? I mean, based on the Cumulus data, it would be relatively easy to send an email to potentially affected customers. In addition to the customized Cumulus vouchers, this would be a sensible and logical consequence of data collection.
