Problems redeeming activated vouchers in the Migros app

I have activated some vouchers in my Migros app, but when I try to redeem them with the EAN code, it doesn't work. Can anyone help me and explain why this is happening? I'm also wondering why you have to activate vouchers at all - I find this step relatively tedious.

Hi Nomischka, have you installed the latest app version (7.32.2)? If it doesn't work despite the latest version, you are welcome to contact kunden@migrosonline.ch. Our specialists will then check whether there is a problem with the vouchers. Best regards, Melanie

You do not HAVE to activate vouchers in order to redeem them. The purpose of activating the vouchers is that they are automatically redeemed when the corresponding Cumulus card is scanned at the checkout. There is no need to scan the EAN codes on the paper vouchers. The vouchers are only valid in the store formats indicated on the vouchers.
