I wanted to suggest a way to streamline the logistics of using vouchers, discounts, points, etc.—both digitally and on paper—for both Migros and its customers
Instead of wasting paper and sending out thousands of mailings, or always having to pull out your phone, unlock it, open the app, etc., why not simply scan the Cumulus card at the checkout (whether self-service or traditional) and have the various coupons, discounts, and points the customer has available appear directly on the screen?
This way, Migros would save a significant amount on paper costs, and customers wouldn’t have to worry about whether a discount has expired or not, nor would they have to carry around a bunch of clipped-out coupons. With a single gesture—swiping the Cumulus card—customers would have all available offers right on the screen to select before they expire, without having to pull out a phone or coupons.
This would also speed up the payment process.
