Perfect for garlic and ginger! This is exactly what I was looking for and I'm glad to have it in my kitchen tool collection now.
People who use this grater for citrus fruits have clearly picked up the wrong product. It's also called a "garlic & spice grater" and to rate the product poorly because of your own failings is unfair.

Useless, wanted to use the thing to grate citrus fruit peel. Impossible!

I much prefer the normal rubbing with the serrated blades. Not very efficient...
