Dear Migros First of all, this ice cream is a hit! But this product is not new, as you are advertising it this week. Creme d'Or's Cookies & Cream ice cream was already available in Migros last year, but in a 750ml container for CHF 8.80 (= 1000ml for CHF 11.73). Now you pay CHF 6.30 for 500ml (=1000ml for CHF 12.60), so the only thing that's new here is the higher price. Moreover, in terms of their M-Generation campaign, this change is incomprehensible, because the smaller containers produce more waste. It's a shame that Migros is increasingly fooling its customers, in my opinion, so my question is: why is the ice cream now suddenly being sold in smaller containers?

Hello everglow, we are adapting to the needs of Migros customers, as practical packaging formats for small households are increasingly in demand. The first varieties of Crème d'Or - other varieties will follow from 2023 - will therefore now be sold in a smaller 500 ml can. The new tin has also been designed to be more compact and modern so that it takes up less space in the freezer. As the first part of the Crème d'Or range, the newly created 500 ml can will be offered in more sustainable packaging from this year. The material has been changed from polystyrene (PS) to polypropylene (PP). This enables us to achieve a better environmental balance and use a recyclable material. With the new can, we have made sure that all components are made from the same material, thus creating the conditions for a circular economy. Our aim is to use recycled plastic for our packaging in the future. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
