I don't understand why this product contains "thickener: guar gum and xanthan gum, preservative: potassium sorbate" and the Coop product only contains "SKIMMED MILK (Switzerland), RAW MILK, MILK PROTEIN, table salt".

Dear Migros, I actually like this cottage cheese, but I recently had one twice that smelled unusual/unpleasant before the expiration date and also tasted slightly funny, the "bad" one I opened today had an expiration date of 16.10.2023, L 000 104 T3; I had to dispose of it. I only got home 10 minutes later and of course put it in the fridge straight away, so that can't be the problem. Could you please check if everything is correct? I have to be very careful with spoiled food, so I'm a bit worried. Thank you very much.

Hello Twilight, thank you very much for your message. How nice that you like the taste of the cottage cheese! We are all the more sorry that you didn't enjoy it twice recently. In view of your description, we understand your concerns. Fortunately, they are unfounded. We are happy to confirm that the testing of our samples was flawless. Nevertheless, your description allows us to draw clear conclusions about a break in the cold chain. Because you store the products properly, it is reasonable to suspect that this occurred beforehand. In retrospect, it is no longer possible to determine exactly where. As an immediate measure, we asked all departments involved to ensure proper handling. We are continuing to monitor the issue. If necessary, we will make adjustments. We apologize for the uncertainty this has caused. At the same time, we hope that you will give our cottage cheese another chance to convince you of its impeccable quality. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Does this cheese really have lactase in it? Normally it always says Enzymes: Lactase on it Nothing is mentioned in the ingredients And get the worst stomach ache and flatulence afterwards

Is cottage cheese made from pasteurized dairy products? Can I eat it during pregnancy without worrying?
Hello Iliriana-Agron, the aha! Cottage Cheese is made from pasteurized milk and cream. It is also safe to consume during pregnancy. By the way: the recommendation to only consume cheese made from pasteurized milk during pregnancy is not enough! To protect yourself from a listeria infection, you should avoid all soft and semi-hard cheeses made from raw and pasteurized milk during pregnancy. Hard cheese and extra-hard cheese, whether made from raw or pasteurized milk, can be eaten without hesitation, but the rind should be removed before consumption. Mozzarella and cream cheese made from pasteurized milk and processed cheese are also safe. The same applies to fondue and other melted or heated cheeses (raclette, cheese used for gratinating, etc.). Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Grüezi, is it alcohol-free (e.g. ethanol - e.g. for natural flavors). Thank you very much! Question asked on

Hello fatihoeztuerk, thank you for your inquiry. The recipe does not contain any alcoholic ingredients and, to the best of our knowledge and belief, neither do its preliminary products. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why are there no yogurts, cottage cheese or other products from aha in organic milk quality in Migros? I think that's a shame, and the products are expensive enough in comparison
6 years ago
Hello Kymba00, your question is quite justified. We see the aha! range as a niche product compared to the classic range and organic is also a smaller area. Both together will then become an even smaller area. We currently see too little potential. We are continuing to monitor the demand for the combination of aha! and organic and, if demand increases, we will certainly soon be offering more of these products. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Okay thanks, but I always thought that animal welfare (i.e. organic) was important to Migros, but that doesn't seem to be the case with dairy products, what a shame!

Dear M-Infoline Thank you for the information! Unfortunately, I no longer have the packs from when the cottage cheese was dry. Since then, all the packs have been very creamy again. If I have a dry one again, I will post the details. best regards saranja

I can confirm jeaninne's observation. In the last few months, I too have often had portions that were very dry. What could be the reasons for this?
Hello saranja Thank you for your feedback. If the water evaporates from this product, the Cottage Cheese may become a little dry. So that we can check the situation accurately, we need the following information: What is the M-date (sell by, use by)? What is the batch number (number starting with letters or mixed)? Thank you for your feedback and have a nice week. Your M-Infoline Team

Dear Migros I have been buying this cottage cheese for years as I suffer from lactose intolerance and love it. Unfortunately, I have noticed for weeks that it is now completely dry and grainy. Has the recipe for this product been changed?
Hello jeaninne Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are sorry that you did not like the Cottage Cheese. We have not made any changes to the recipe for this product. All our products are tasted after production, usually the following day, in order to detect any changes at an early stage. So far, we have not been able to detect any deviations from the quality standard. With Cottage Cheese, however, it is possible that the water evaporates slightly during storage, which can cause the product to become slightly dry. We apologize for the inconvenience and wish you an enjoyable week! Best regards from the M-Infoline team
