Idéal pour faire son hummous maison
Quite apart from where the product comes from, these are good chickpeas that are cooked through and therefore ready to eat straight from the tin (after rinsing, of course). Just like the M-Classic chickpeas, which are currently suffering from supply bottlenecks, and unlike all other brands offered by both Migros and the competition. So if you're looking for soft chickpeas rather than just half-cooked ones, this is the right choice.
The salt content is so high that I would classify the product as questionable in terms of health. But this is normal for a product aimed at the North American market. Hands off! ⛔️
The problem with this brand is that the viscous liquid is composed of animal fats. Even if you rinse well, it's inedible for me. I'm simply boycotting this made-in-Portugal subsidiary and all the others that use the same preservation method. I prefer to buy dry products that I leave to soak, which is much healthier.
