Me and my family have been using this toothpaste for years. And now I'm taking a closer look at certain Migros products and I'm actually discovering some frightening things here and there! And this toothpaste is no exception. It actually contains several risky ingredients. Among others, the highly risky BHT plus the equally dangerous titanium dioxide! These are both highly questionable and potentially harmful to health. I read the following about BHT: it has shown potential endocrine disrupting effects. In particular, it is said to impair thyroid function. It is also said to have an effect on sex hormones and impair fertility and growth, etc. etc. Regarding titanium dioxide, I read: carcinogenic. Regarding fluoride: is a neurotoxin Why does Migros use such risky substances in its toothpastes? This is a scandal! I am shocked because I actually suffer from thyroid dysfunction.

Hello Miggyline, thank you for your inquiry. I will be happy to clarify your request with our specialist department and get back to you asap. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Miggyline, thank you for your patience. We take your concerns seriously. That's why it was important for us to make well-founded clarifications. As promised, we will get back to you with news from the specialist department. We develop our products very carefully and test them extensively to ensure that they deliver the intended and desired benefits. For each individual article, a toxicological report - the so-called safety report - is drawn up before it is launched on the market to prove that it is completely harmless to human health. No cosmetic product may be sold without such a report, which confirms the safety of a cosmetic product for its intended use. Accordingly, we can confirm that the Mibelle Group does not use any carcinogenic substances, hormones or substances of reproductive concern in cosmetic products. The minimal concentration of BHT used in Candida Sensitive toothpaste therefore has no effect on the endocrine system (hormone system / thyroid gland). Titanium dioxide is also considered a safe ingredient for cosmetics in the EU. Nevertheless, we are constantly testing alternatives and always use the most suitable substances in our products. We hope this information is helpful for you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, this toothpaste burns me and I find it too harsh. Is there a particular product that you rate as very mild? I don't need/want a (menthol?) fresh feeling, I just want to be able to brush my teeth in peace (without an increasing burning sensation).

Hello Wertekompass, thank you for your question. We can recommend that you try our homeopathy-compatible toothpaste: Candida pH Control. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, is it possible to receive samples of this and other Candida toothpastes with a low RDA (around 20)? With my thanks and best regards.

Hello Grisons, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we don't have any samples available. However, we can recommend the following Candida toothpastes: Peppermint, Parodin and Sensitive. By the way, the Sensitive variant is also available in a small format, ideal for trying out the toothpaste. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Candida sensitive professional contains titanium dioxide additive ????

Hi Dolli_Bra. Yes, the toothpaste contains titanium dioxide. However, there are also some Candida toothpastes that are free of CI 77891. The following Candida toothpastes do not contain titanium dioxide: Candida Peppermint, Candida Fresh Gel, Candida Halitosis Gel, Candida Cool Herbs Gel, Candida Parodin, Candida White Optic. We hope one is right for you! Best regards, Your M-Infoline Team

Dear Migros, I am generally very satisfied with the CANDIDA toothpastes. My question now: Do they also contain microplastics?

Hello El_Braetzelibueb, thank you for your praise of our Candida products. Our own industry, Mibelle AG, replaced microplastics (plastic peeling particles) in all cosmetics and toothpastes with alternative particles of natural origin several years ago. Plastic exfoliating particles are no longer used. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Dear Migros team I read on a blog that this product is vegan. Is that correct?

Hello Questioner, thank you for your post. Yes, this is true. All Candida, I am Natural, M-Budget and M-Classic toothpastes are vegan. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

That is very good news! I don't think I'm the only one who would welcome it if it were written directly on the product.

Hello, about 10 months ago I reported spelling mistakes on the CANDIDA Sensitive Professional product. To this day, I notice that they still haven't been corrected. As a reminder, here's what I reported: Remark: On this product, there's a spelling mistake in French under the name CANDIDA... it says "Protection pour les dents et collcs dentarie sensibles" when in my opinion it should read "Protection pour dents et collcs dentaires sensibles". In addition, it also says "PROTECTION IMMEDIAT" next to the illustration of the tooth when it should read "PROTECTION IMMEDIATE" Best regards

Hi, We have received your comment and thank you for it. We regret that the correction has not yet been made. Our supplier has been informed and will correct the errors in the next production run. We apologize for the delay. We look forward to your next visit and wish you an excellent summer. Best regards Your M-Infoline team

1 question and 1 comment on article 5141.442 Question: What does the RDA20 logo on toothpaste tubes stand for? Comment: On this product, there's a spelling mistake in French under the name CANDIDA... it says "Protection pour dents et collcs dentarie sensibles" when, in my opinion, it should read "Protection pour dents et collcs dentaires sensibles". It says "Protection pour les dents et collets dentarie sensibles" (Protection for sensitive teeth and dental necks) when in my opinion it should read "Protection pour dents et collets dentaires sensibles" (Protection for sensitive teeth and dental necks). Furthermore, it also says "PROTECTION IMMEDIAT" (IMMEDIATE PROTECTION) next to the illustration of the tooth when it should read "PROTECTION IMMEDIATE" (IMMEDIATE PROTECTION).

Dear customer Many thanks for taking the time to write to us. RDA stands for relative dentine abrasion. In an experiment, the abrasion of a toothpaste is compared with that of a standard toothpaste under clearly defined conditions. The standard toothpaste has a RDA = 100. But the RDA of a toothpaste is not the only quality criterion. The ideal toothpaste combines high cleaning potential (Re), low abrasion (RDA) and low tooth surface roughness (Ra). In the K-Tip of January 14 1998, the 12 leading toothpastes on the Swiss market were analyzed by the University of Zurich, with our three pastes Candida Sensitive, Fresh Gel and Peppermint taking part. Candida Sensitive was the clear winner of the test, as it best met the above-mentioned criteria. Your comment about the spelling mistake has been passed on to the relevant department. We hope you find this information useful, and send you our warmest regards. Your M-Infoline team

A very good toothpaste, but: why doesn't it only contain sodium fluoride? Why does it also have to contain monofluorophosphate, a fluoride compound that is worse at preventing tooth decay? Sodium fluoride is more soluble and more effective.
Is it because NaMFP is cheaper?
That would be a shame!

Dear guest
Thank you for your contribution.
This toothpaste only contains sodium fluoride - in contrast to its predecessor Sensitive Plus.
We hope that this information helps you and look forward to welcoming you back soon!
Best regards from the M-Infoline team

Why is the packaging constantly getting smaller for the same price?

Hello guest
The prices, or rather the size, of this product were adjusted in 2010 and have not been changed since.
We published a statement about this adjustment in Migros Magazine No. 9 of March 1, 2010:
We research, develop and test every single product, just like the big brand companies; however, unlike these international ventures, our sales market only covers Switzerland.

The current situation no longer allowed us to fully absorb the price increases and we were therefore forced to adjust our prices. We combined this with a revision of the Candida line, in which we switched to a standardized and marketable tube size of 75 ml for the problem-solving toothpastes. Nevertheless, the entire toothpaste range was not increased. For example, the four Lilibiggs children's toothpastes became cheaper. In addition to our commitment to prevention, we would like to make a contribution to healthy children's teeth.

We hope our information has been helpful and wish you a good day. Your M-Infoline team
