Since it's not coffee, I don't understand if the product contains caffeine (even if in small amounts) or not, and why is it recommended to use it for lattes?

Hello Ayla23, as stated on the packaging, the product does not contain caffeine. It consists of pure chicory. Chicory has always been mixed with coffee to add flavor. This mixture is best suited for coffee with milk and not as a pure chicory drink, at least not in Switzerland. In France, chicory is drunk pure. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Is Brunette made from chicory from Switzerland or where does it come from? In general: Top product. I am on caffeine withdrawal and Brunette allows me a "gentle" withdrawal ;)

Hello ValeriaVera, it's great that you like the product so much. Unfortunately, chicory for the production of coffee surrogates is not cultivated in Switzerland. It would be theoretically possible, but the facilities for further processing (washing, cutting and drying) are lacking. The raw material comes from France, Holland and Belgium. Thank you! As long as we stay in the EU, that's great for me :)

Do you have to use a filter machine for this coffee or could you alternatively make an infusion or use a tea infuser or tea bag?

Hello nknk, our Brunette coffee substitute is intended for mixing with normal coffee. Brunette has to be filtered, but you don't necessarily need a filter machine for this. You can also use coffee filter paper. A tea infuser or tea bags are not suitable. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hi info.migros, do you have the right mix for an excellent blend between chicory and coffee? Should I choose coffee beans or already ground coffee? And what are the quantities of one and the other? I've already tried several formulas, but it's not that, because I've already had an excellent coffee/chicory blend that you have to drink with hot milk, and I asked how her blend was to make it so perfect, but the person refused to share. With a very good, well-balanced blend, it's also possible to drink it without milk, but it's a bit special to the taste. Thank you for your reply.

Hello AuClanDestin, and thank you for your question. We'd like to help you solve your problem. The choice of coffee, whether ground or bean, is a matter of taste. For blends, we recommend between 20% and 40% chicory. We hope you find the ideal blend for your palate, and wish you many moments of pleasure. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Thank you for your answer Migpedia, but what does 20 to 40% chicory mean in grams? If I go by my calculation it means 1 quarter to 2 quarters? And for how much coffee too? 500gr or 1 kilo? I look forward to a precise answer.

Hello nknk, thank you for your request for clarification. We recommend that you take a certain quantity of your coffee and then add a proportion of 20 to 40% chicory. For a cup, for example, take 9 g of coffee powder instead of 12 g and then measure out, say, 30% Brunette chicory. We recommend experimenting in this way, and once you've found the optimum blend for you, you can mix larger quantities too. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
