The pea flavor is not very pronounced, I'm not sure how to interpret the taste. It probably seems to come from the bacon. It tastes absolutely awful, reminiscent of plastic or rubber and seems to ruin the whole soup. I won't be buying this soup again and can't recommend it in any way. Buy the mushroom soups instead, they are actually okay.
