Hello, could you tell us if the Blevita sesame product contains pesticides from India that are banned in Switzerland?

Hello Stafos, thank you for your inquiry. No, this product does not contain ethylene oxide. With best regards, your M-Infoline team

But are the sesame seeds from India?

Hello Kami-Kaze, thank you for your inquiry about Blévitas sesame seeds. In September 2020, when the suspicion of ethylene oxide in sesame seeds arose, our manufacturer reacted immediately. They obtained certificates of analysis from the sesame supplier and later also analyzed all products already produced with Indian sesame. Furthermore, the manufacturer decided in September 2020 to only use sesame from South Africa for Blévitas in future. This means that the sesame seeds used no longer come from India. Good day! On all my mountain tours, hikes or on the sailing boat I always had at least two types of Blevitas with me, they were part of my standard equipment as soon as I left the house. They just tasted good to me. Now I'm 80 years old and unfortunately I have to realize that Blevitas no longer taste good. I can understand that the appearance of the packaging has been modernized, but the new Blevitas have become alien to my tongue. What have you done there? What a pity, I look forward to an explanation. Yours sincerely, Luc d'Hooghe

Unfortunately, this is the case with almost every product. Migros repackages everything and changes the recipe or the manufacturer at the same time. The result is horrible. All the products get worse. And the worst thing is that Migros talks its way out of it, refuses to accept it and keeps on doing it. In my opinion, it could also be a tactic that people then stop buying the product, Migros throws it out and puts new, worse products back on the shelves.

Hello lucassy, we are sorry that you no longer liked this product. However, the recipe has not been changed. However, the raw materials used are natural products that are subject to slight fluctuations in quality due to many factors such as variety, harvesting conditions, storage, roasting, etc. This can affect the smell and taste of the end product. This can have an influence on the smell and taste of the end product. We very much hope that you will enjoy the Blévitas again next time. Otherwise, you can also use the contact form to give us the LOT number and the best-before date so that we can check this. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

est-ce possible d'avoir plus de transparence sur la provenance des farines utilisées - sur tous les produits Blévita? merci possible to have a bit more transparency on the origin of the flours used - on all Blevita products ? thank you

Hello flojax, thank you for your message. About 60% of the flour we use comes from Switzerland. However, this depends very much on the annual harvest and availability. This percentage therefore varies accordingly. Demand for organic flours in particular cannot be met by Swiss production. Other regions of origin are Europe and North America. I find it completely incomprehensible that skimmed milk powder is mixed in here. Are there plans to adapt the recipe in future?

Hi Adrian7, the milk powder has a positive effect on both the taste and the texture of the cracker and leaving it out would change the product characteristics. However, we also have numerous Blévitas without milk powder in our range, please note the "vegan" label on the packaging. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Once again it has happened: I found a favorite product a few months ago, and then it's taken out of the range: Blevita with poppy seeds! What a shame!!!!!!!!!

Hello guest
Thank you very much for your comment. We're sorry that you miss the Blévita poppy seeds so much.
We can well understand that it's annoying when another one of your favorite products has disappeared from the Migros shelves.
Decisions about product ranges are always a balancing act for us. But sometimes they are unavoidable. Unfortunately, space on the shelves is limited, so it is our duty to constantly review the selection and its appeal and make adjustments where necessary. This measure allows us to make room for new products and variations.
We hope for your understanding and wish you a wonderful day.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team
